This 40V battery-powered rear-handle chainsaw is the world’s first rear-handle battery chainsaw with a clutch. The 542i XP® delivers added torque and power output equivalent to 40cc gas engines. Ideal for tree care professionals and arborist ground crews, this saw has an IPX4 rating for use in rain or shine. And proprietary active cooling technology delivers more consistent power and helps extend battery life. Combined with our X-PRECISION® guide bar and SP21G chain, this saw feels like gas, performs like gas, but has all the benefits of battery. XP G model comes equipped with heated handles. Battery and charger sold separately.
